Welcome to Mist Haven.

We are a small, family farm on the rural coast of Maine.

Health problems sent us on a journey of questioning our modern food system and searching for a more natural diet.

Discouragment from the lack of healthy, simple options eventually,this led us to the founding of our Mist Haven.

Our goal is to raise animals and food how it was always meant to be, working with nature and not against it. We believe in simplicity and authenticity, valuing each animal as an individual. Come join us on our journey!

We believe that what we eat affects who we are. It can heal, or it can hurt. That is why we are free of all pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, hormones or chemicals of any kind, and always striving for completely organic practices. Working with nature, not against it.

All animals on our farm are raised without vaccinations, antibiotics or hormones, no crowded pens and no limited outdoor access. Wether it is chickens or goats, bunnies or ducks, they each get to spend their days exploring and playing through our spacious wooded acres, soaking up sunlight and enjoying our beautiful world.

...and organic produce.

Pesticides and herbicides are never used on our farm. We only grow organically, making our flowers, plants, vegetables and fruits pollinator friendly, working with the natural food cycle. All scraps are then given back to the soil and our animals, the gift that keeps on giving.

About us:

We are a Christian family of five, enjoying life on the beautiful, wild coasts of Maine. Originally from the busy cities of Colorado, we set across the country in search of adventure and stillness, wanting to take some space to breath and learn to slow down. In Maine, we have found all that and more, and now are enjoying our little homestead on the rural, pine tree covered ocean. We hope that our products and practices can also help begin, or further, your search for natural, unplugging from the conventional way of life and looking for something more.

Hi, I'm Summer!

I am a teenaged entrepreneur, with a passion for animals, health and our world. I believe that when we take care of our animals, they will take care of us. I created Mist Haven (along with my family) to help spread that belief and mission. I serve as head website designer, animal caretaker and egg seller here at our farm.

Our animals:

Here at Mist Haven, we raise a happy flock of chickens and ducks, a ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat herd, a buzzing hive of honey bees, a bouncy...er, what do you call a group of bunnies? Let's just call them lawnmowers. And we can't forget our little lap dog, Layla. She has decided her job is to keep the chickens in line.
